I found a much easier way. Just use that clear red tape for broken tale lights.

Sounds like we used about the same color. It looks red in the store. But when I unrolled it is was kind of a cranberry. I was told it was "the default red" though. It looks completely believeable. I even cut the dimmer wire. But now sometimes my clock resets. I think I need to cap the wire ends. I added HID headlights, and cool white interior lighting. I am just waiting for the LED's to come in for the Cluster. Then I just need to figure out exactly how to change the LED's in the steering wheel and the gear shift console. Thanks for you all your help so far. Your car looks amazing. I have the boring black model.

I used one of the shades of red, more like a magenta but not quite.

I actually ended up going with a blue overlay though in the end, I thought it fit my theme better Be sure to do the "clock always bright" mod if you put an overlay on thee though, as you won't be able to see it otherwise.

I just used tinted overlays to get the clock color I wanted...you can get a sample pack from a craft store or lighting supply store or whatever...they're called "lee filter media" iirc. Place that between the clock VFD itself and the cover to test colors.
