I'm not sure why you'd post this in the AM forum, you're on both boost and bottle...

But post videos anyway.

Not a chance - not with those mods listed (3.125 + 100 shot) on a 3.0... auto... with 9.0:1 compression... and a high stall... and a jwt ecu... though the black leather seats with ostrich will help.

you would need alot of s/c boost...like nearly 20 something psi plus your 100shot to get there with that cr u have. and thats only if the auto would even hold a shift at that kind of power.
i say you can do that in two relitavly easy steps....
1. swap to a maunal ( 6spd if you can)
2. swap to a 3.5 and do similar engine mods to that and come back and report

I forgot to ask something, is this going on a 3.5 swap or the 3.0?

If it is the 3.5 then it might be within the realm of being possible using a 100 shot of nitrous

and to think, for the money spent on those mods, you couldve purchased a car that can actually hit the numbers you want, for much less money, while looking better, and perhaps rwd or awd as well. 520hp on a fwd car = pointless, unless you race on the highway all the time, or drive around with slicks.

Nah, I think he really believes he's going to put down 520hp once he dynos. Time and time again he would post "his estimates" in various "show your dyno" threads only to get deleted by the mods. I find it funny how someone picks their screen name based on the amount of horsepower they feel they will have when it's all said and done!

Look here too. Mr. 520 likes to talk about what he has, before he has it in yet another "post your dyno" thread. LOL

http://forums.maxima.org/showpost.ph...5&postcount=19

I'm just waiting for Steve to delete his worthless post.

Well there is a new technology just released that allows you to wish and impose your will on your engine. That is why mine is now making 1000whp NA @ 18,500rpm. And I got to reduce the weight of my engine by tossing out those heavy **** cylinder heads.

They undoubtedly must be using a different compressor wheel which I see no mention of in his "mod list".

yeah a while back i read of them using vortech blowers on their cars...maybe like 2-3yrs ago. i only saw one or two cars with it but they both spun those suckers up to 20~psi to make sick power ( low tq though).

i remember asking a few of my v2 maxima friends why they didnt follow suit and thats why i remember it. ill try to find info or pics on it

Once again, the T-trim compressor wheel that the maxima kits come with would be WAAYYYYYYYYY out of its efficiency range at that PSI level so it's a moot point.

Don't you mean S-Trim?

Vortech V-1 S-Trim Supercharger

The industry standard supercharger

* Straight cut spur gear
* Fits engines up to 680 horsepower
* Maximum airflow: 1,000 CFM *
* Maximum boost pressure: 20 PSI *
* Maximum impeller speed: 50,000 RPM
* Adiabatic efficiency: 72% **
* Available with straight or curved discharge and clockwise or counterclockwise rotation

Vortech V-1 T-Trim Supercharger

The supercharger of choice for street/strip vehicles with modified engines

* Straight cut spur gear
* Fits engines up to 825 horsepower
* Maximum airflow: 1,200 CFM *
* Maximum boost pressure: 26 PSI *
* Maximum impeller speed: 55,000 RPM
* Adiabatic efficiency: 73% **
* Available with straight or curved discharge and clockwise or counterclockwise rotation

ohh i am not arguing that point, nor even defending him...im just saying that you can spin a blower to and past its effciency range. it would just heat the air up progressively more as its efficency % drops lower and lower. in reality you would be able to run the blower/turbo to a higher psi in expense for hotter charged air. it would be up to the owner of said car to invest in ways to bring the boost pressure back down to reasonable temp if possible.

i know that this is off-topic but why is it that we never push our blowers past the 12-14~psi that we run these days in our s/c kits? are we reaching the limits as far as impeller speed is concerned and what happens to peopel that reach said speed? is that where the adiabatic eff begins to fall off?

if thats the case then cooling the charged air should fix what ever hike in charge temps that we would see....

i think its more of a case of people just being afriad to give it a shot

IIRC, compressor surge. Motor isn't swallowing enough air up there. Perhaps if some people got cams and headwork the boost limit could go up.
