yes you should remove the power rod from the intake when installing the vias block off. better to have it out anyway if your boosted, in my opinion.

I'm open header. But as long as it isn't anything serious it's an old engine so slight change in how the car sounds is expected. I just wanted to make sure. Engine is coming out soon anyway
