Thank you very much, this is the exact info I needed. When I purchased the keyfob it was listed to work for a 00 and 01 Maxima. This key fob has a FCC ID of KBRASTU10.

OP,

I had a similar problem to my maxima when I first got it, that is, your sputtering and not going over 4,000 rpm thing (I never had an electrical problem).

It ended up being the MAF.

Also, when I bought the car it only came with 1 key. It isn't a Nissan key, it's an after market key (Strattec). Could this maybe be part of the problem?

I found this on eBay, but it's only one side, and has the clear outside. But, it's an amber. Does anyone know why some cars had these and some didn't? I would think these are japan spec tails...
