1995 Toyota Celica GT 5-Speed

Pictures of my old ride:
http://forums.maxima.org/members-rides/642025-my-97-gle-maxima-g35-wheels.html

She got rear-ended by a 2009 Nissan Sentra and got totaled (Damages were more than the value of the car)

I was searching for a 5th gen AE or plain SE but I didn't have any luck. I was running out of time, so I had to settle with something quickly.

Luckily I came across this 95 Toyota Celica 2.2L
Its a 5-speed with 94k miles for $3,500.
I regret nothing with my decision. I am having a blast with this car; more than I did with my 4th gen. I've been getting a lot of compliments from strangers; simply makes me more happy.

Future mods will be:
TRD 3-point front strut tower bar
GT-4 Rear strut tower bar
Thicker sway bar end links
Eibach Lower springs
3sge or 1MZ/3MZ-FE Swap
Suspension Techniques, front and rear sway bars.
Lightweight Flywheel
Fiberglass hood
JDM Taillights
JDM Projector Headlights.
S2000 Antenna

That generation was definitely the best out of all them in my opinion

Nice find, mileage is amazingly low and car looks great

I remember an old Sport Compact Car article about that gen Celica...they booed the low output engine but had lots of compliments about the handling. They also thought aloud about bolting/adapting the TRD SC to the 2.2L...

The 2.2L provides enough power to move around. Its not sluggish either. Before I know it, I'm at 70mph when I get into the freeway. Handling is superb. With stock height, I care barely feel the body roll on the tight corners. I'm a college student, so straight line power is not in mind. This car provides awesome MPG, plenty of HP and the handling makes it so much fun to drive and reliability

Nice find... It looks well kept. I agree, don't throw money at it to make it faster. I'm a student too, I love my max but jealousss of ur mpg! I'd buy a civic or any small Japanese eco sports car bit everyone of them is more expensive on insurance Than the max -_-

The GT-Four was never produced for the U.S. I do believe that Canada got some though. I know for fact it's possible to buy one and own it in the States though. My uncle actually had a GT-Four for years back and traded it for an older Porsche years later.

Insurance wasn't that bad with this car. It was like $4 more I believe compared to my old A32.

Not sure yet. I am still on my first tank. I am going to track it in Fuelly like I did with the A32.

That's a nice stance. Have you felt any difference in handling with the strut tower brace?

Btw I believe our cars share the same 5SFE motor

Nice to see a 6th gen. Be sure to keep it clean. I've seen too many ricers and beater 6th gens that it was so hard to find a clean one. Drop a 3sgte in there. You know you want to.

oh trust me, I like to keep a clean car, clean. Most likely I'll keep the stock look.

I want either a 3SGE or 1MZ-FE

I'm not ready to deal with turbocharged engines.

I got some very horrible news and some goodies I've installed.

Despite my hit and run incident, I am still doing a few things here and there.

Recently installed the NRG Removable Steering Wheel Kit.

I believe the door courtesy light came red from factory. Well it wasn't bright enough. Thanks to xFAHxQx on the 6gc.net forum, I bought some clear door courtesy lights with LED's.

Not really but when you put all those Handling parts together, it makes a difference

I am actually searching for a 3-point TRD FSTB for my next mod

Many things have been postponed due to a simple headlight I'm waiting for.
(FYI, bumper needs to be removed in order to access the headlights. I want to do everything at the same time)

Got these goodies waiting for me.
