You can replace them. There is a sticky on here about the bose systems with FAQS. look it up and it will answer all of your questions

yea i seen the tight space when i actually got around to doing it. sad thing is im not a small guy let alone do i have small hands but thanks for the advice. oh also one more question. if i replace the bose speakers i know other speakers wont work cuz they run on 1ohm i believe.. any idea which ones will? or is it best to just get bose ones all over again?

Ohhh ok well at the moment I'm probably gonna be putting on some dynamat at the moment. No money to put into buying a new head unit and stuff. So Im going to do things to improve some things of my current system. Then later on try to buy a new one.

mayur....also your stock speakers are only going to sound so good. My advice would be, assuming you have no amplifier, to upgrade your speakers and get a good HU. If you get some good coaxial speakers and a decent HU you will be surprised how good it sounds. 97....you dont have to take that panel to get the rear deck speakers off anyways. Just take out the back seats and pop the carpeted cover that the speaker grill sits on. Once that is off you will see the screws that hold the speakers in place and they will come out easily. The only problem is working in the tiny space with the windshield lol

mayur...you didnt like the clarion HU? it should have been fine. Does your system have an amplifier? 97...the best way to get that off without cracking it(and it is hard) is to get a long tool you can slide in there and pop off each corner. If you try to pull it off by the front then it will break. If you do break it then there should be one at the pull-a-part

hey man i know your good with car audio and all and i saw a pic you posted of your rear deck.. now your panel with the tweeter on it is plastic i believe? and is there any easy wat to get those things off cuz i tried and it started to crack and actually broke. oh i have a 97 by the way. just wanna know if i should just break it off and get new ones cuz my old bose speakers are shot and the only way i believe to get to them is by removing that panel. any help would suffice.

I will be asking you more about audio in the near future if I ever switch to an aftermarket deck. What is a best thing to use with an aftermarket deck with some bose speakers, so that I have best bass out of the stock bose speakers? I have heard some many people say so many different things on what they have used. I had bought an aftermarket clarion deck with the scosche integration adapter and that didn't work well. Also someone else had recommended me a scosche slc-4 line output converter.

thats the foam. you ont want that, it doesn't do its job. search for dynamat xtreme. thats the product you want. its a standard thickness. I wondered what dynamat could be 1/2in thick lol

Well at the moment it says that it is free shipping for a 1/2 in thick. So should I go for a 1/4 in thick instead of the 1/2in??

Yea thats a bit thick but it would be super quiet. I would just get the stuuf at best buy or sears. can probably oreder it online but its so heavy that shipping would be crazy
