Hello, I had a couple questions for you about your VE. First one is, what size breather is needed to put on the air tube? Second is, what did/do you use as a intake hose? Third is, are the other hoses connected to the stock tube required to make the vehicle run?

maximo"I did mine. Remove the heat shield above the cat. There you will expose linkage to rod. There is one bolt that connects the rod to the linkage. Once disconnected you can move to the interior. Get back to the step that you had in the pic. The housing for the shifter bushing is held in by 4 bolts (I believe they are 10mm). After removing that you expose the retainer for the ball (brown/ rusty looking bracket surrounding the ball in your pic). I believe those 2 are 12mm. After removing that wiggle and twist shift rod a bit and it should be free. There is a 2 piece plastic shroud around the ball. Separate and lubricate. (wow that sounded dirty). Perform in reverse for install. While your at it if you desire you can modify your stock shifter to a diy short throw shifter if it hasn't already been done."maximo-

Alright that one bolt I know where it is, its kinda rusted but I have no choice. Let me ask you this once you remove this bolt isnt the housing for the shifter bushing your talking about still wedged in there?

Basically the problem im having right now is the house for the shifter bushing is completely loose and free ready to go except its sandwiched between the Cat and the strike rod/shift linkage. If Im understanding you correctly I must remove this bolt that connects rod to linkage then twist off my truck shifter THEN i'll be able to remove my houseing?

I made a short vid to clear the confusion I had with james because he wasnt understanding why I was having so much diffculty to remove the housing if you dont mind just watch the vid and you'll see what im talking about lol. thanks bro
