Infiniti i30 motor swap possibilities

Peace y'all, I was looking to swap my VQ30DE motor in my 00 infiniti I30. My first intention is to just swap it with an identical motor but I'm thinking to possibly upgrade to VQ35DE or even possibly a VQ35HR( If its possible). My concerns with upgrading it is whether it will even be worth the trouble and where i would start with going so far as to HR swap it? Btw, im reading about a recall that were on certain VINs and wasn't sure if mine fell under that list, my vin ends in 6008. I really appreciate the help guys, thanks a lot.

Don't look at any rear wheel drive VQ engines. They won't work.
Swapping in a VQ35 is a massive undertaking. There isn't an easy route. The 2 main options are:
Engine, wiring harness, and ECU have to match, AKA full swap. Lots of extra power from variable cam timing. Option 2, engine timing components need to be swapped to match the old ECU, AKA hybrid or 3.5L on 3.0L timing. This limits power potential due to static cam timing.

Well i guess less options sometimes is better. This will just have to remain an overhaul job moving forward. I don't want to do any thing more than a rebuild/swap. Definitely not in the mood for a harness swap. Its just there isnt much of a market on mods for the vq30de, even when it was new it would seem. Anyways, thanks a lot for the advice, this has helped me narrow down my options greatly.
