If you want a good investment in a radio buy Blaupunkt. Too bad Crutchfield does not sell those anymore...

Your search - DH3400ub - did not match any documents.

que?

did you mean the DEH-3400UB? Single-din, looks good, and I am a fan of Pioneer. Reviews on Crutchfield are good as well. This is basically a few upgrades off of what I had in my old car, I loved it.

For under 100 bucks, looks like a good deal. Doesn't have bluetooth or HD radio or anything, but for the price...

All the entry level pioneers are okay. The preamp voltage on most pioneers is pretty low at 2 volts, the alpine entry level models usually have a higher preamp voltage. If you are running an external amplifier I recommend a higher preamp voltage (at least 4 volts). This allows you to run a lower gain setting on the amplifier and makes it easier to match levels. Otherwise it will be fine for a basic stereo.

I have the Sony tune tray because I use the Itouch to play music and its perfect becuase it hides it away, however it also take away the ability to play a cd, but who uses cd's anymore anyways lol? You should really look into Sony products, they are making really quality stuff right now for really really good prices. Even their speakers are top rated as of late. This is the actual tray:

I've had two similar Pioneer HUs to that one and they were good head units for the money.

If you are just replacing the factory unit and it is Bose, you will need to run separate wires to the speakers and replace the speakers to regular car audio speakers as well. The impedance on the Bose speakers is different from standard car audio speakers. In other words, you can't use the usual FL FR RL RR wiring harness, you need to run your own wire. Running wire into the doors isn't bad, just get some black heat shrink tubing and heat shrink the exposed area on the speaker wire and zip tie it to the outside of the door wiring harness bundle.

There is a way around it but its better to just do it this way.

No highs no lows must be Bose!

ampire im not exactly sure of this but i believe the bose system has a 4ohm impeadence, which is what the pioneer's pre-amp has. so i dont see why id have to swap to different speakers. and if i was could i just use the stock amps or would i have to purchase a new amp. thanx for the heads up about the wiring harness.

And to ShocknAwe i baught a sony home entertainment system last yeaar and it was sh*t, but i also got it from walmart so who knows. also ive heard bad things about the sony explode line that they had out a while ago and i havent heard to many good things about sony, but ill give them a quick climpse.

Ive owned a few Poineer HU and was always satisfied with them. My current unit is a pioneer and Im quite happy with it, for the money they are good units. Ive owned some higher end Excelons and Eclipse and my Poineers were just as good to me.

Ive never been too impressed with any Sony products, not for what they costs.

ITs the newer sony stuff that I speak of. I have the tune tray HU and its very nice for what it is and keeps your Itouch hidden away

I do agree on the statement that was made about sony, and car audio things that i come across thats sony i dont even consider it

I just recently purchased the pioneer deh-P8400bh on ebay for 169.00 free shipping and it is the best stereo I have ever owned and I have the evo 3d with all my music and as soon as I start my car it connects and my music plays and I also have my ipod in my glove box that is always connected and if I want to listen to my ipod I just change the source but long story short I love the features and that it pairs my music and contacts for calling to the unit I would give it more then 5 stars and I can also listen to pandora and Iheart radio through my phone on my stereo via bluetooth
