My neighbor owns the tow truck company that moves the cars to/from storage and filming location. They got some interesting cars in this one.
My other friend was an extra... told me about the freezin cold nights in downtown LA and they had to wear miniskirts. Haha.
Anyways, did anybody on this board get their car into the film? I don't recall seeing any RHD maximas at local meets.

besides the graphics the max in ff1 was nice. and there were some other really nice cars in both. but boy do i hate what those movies did to the car culture. just the negative impact it made. so many ricers now. and i friggin hate stickers and wings!

Well, you have to understand that here in LA it is all about stickers and wings. At least it was a couple years ago, seems to have died down a little now. But the Production Designer and Transportation Coordinator on the movie might not realize that. They also might intentionally want ricers that look stupid, I have not read the script so I have no idea what their goal is. On film from 100 feet away a neon with a lot of stickers looks a lot different than it does to you and I on the freeway. Hey, that is why I put the posting here, we need to show them what a great custom car can look like.
btw: ColdSHO, I grew up in Dundee, IL. I miss the midwest, but not in January.

how will this movie change things out on the streets ? will it give new inspiration to guys that need a fix to get out and start ricing, racing, or modding at full force once again ?
will the sports car sitting on dealer lots find buyers much faster after the movie ?
will the rice scene be on the move again ?
will drifting continue to spread in popularity ?
or is it just a performance parts thing ? air filters and tail lights will once again be hot items to get for xmas ?

Some people will want to work on their rides more (be it tasteful or not).
It should be a jump start for those who have goals for their cars but havent achieved them, to push more.
More sports cars will sell
more people will drive fast
some people will have a false sense of confidence. They saw it in the movies so they can do it.
Ever since the rice has been getting mainstream, its only gotten worse. This movie wont help being the rice is on more modern and expensive cars.
More tickets will be given out
More people trying to line up with other cars with the slightest inclination its been modified.
After the movie is out of theaters, normal life will start to resume.

NO matter how bad or good the movie might be it will get the MOD bug going!!! I just take the approach as being entertained and seeing the creativity of all the different car scenes. Will be attending the HIN (Hot Import Night) in Boston tonight.

I remember after seein FF1 in theaters, every person there thought it was cool to race out of the parking lot. I'm sure that this won't be differnt, except with a new group of 16-17 year olds just dying to put "direct injection fogger kits" on their civics and mustangs.
