Hey guys I will step in for Greg, print company hassled us about some of the pics not being hi-res enough and we had to contact some of the max owners to re-submit pictures which took some time, then it had to be desgined and now the print company is taking their sweet time. Please understand I am anxious too. Just bad luck and misunderstandings. Next year I am sure Greg will DEFINATELY go with another print shop so we get these end of December like the print company was supposed to. Thanks for being patient and please understand. But, you all have great points This is the first year just working out the bugs. Thanks again guys. Just thought I would tell you what I know.

I hate to rain on the parade, but I am disappointed. I was very excited for the calendar to come out and I hoped to pick up a copy for the office (and maybe one for home? they are only $9!) but when I actually saw it I I was bummed. Maybe I'm just a "conservative white male" but I don't go for all the scantily clad women. First off, how does one display that at the office? And secondly, why would I bring something like that home for my wife and kids to see?

I'm not trying to bash anyone's taste in women (especially if that's your girlfriend draped over the hood), but if your car looks great to begin with, why do you need the scantily clad female ornament?

Maybe next year we could just have a "car only" calendar?

I think more importantly for next year:

Year of car, trim (se, gxe, gle), owner, city & state

I think the calander looks nice....I would agree with chinox, in that they should at least put the owner name on the page, for the smiple fact our pic are being used free of charge....for example I just did a photo shoot with crutchfield and I was being paid $35 an hour for 'model fees'. On the other hand I did a photoshoot my self for this calander and my name is not even mentioned. I am not complaining, I just thought it would be nice if the car owner was at least aknowleged in some way.

This is just the first calendar guys all this input definately helps for next years!

Ouch "clad" women... sorry I am no super model dude! Some wanted girls in it, some did not...

Anyways guys like I said before it was EXTREMELY hard to pick the maxima s out to be in the calendar. EVERY one that submited was AWSOME honestly. It's a harder job than you think. Hopefully we can take all the feedback and make a more up to par calendar for the maxima community next year. But, I want everyone to know no matter what it's hard to make everyone happy because, everyone has different taste. But, I tried my best with CustomMaxima to make ya'll happy sorry if it was not up to your expectations this was meant to be a nice and new thing for max owners not a profit that's why they are so cheap and profit goes toward the org to help it out... just trying to help. But, feel like no matter what I never win and no one appreciates the idea... I thought it would be cool to have a maxima calendar since no other imports have one...

i believe the saying goes.....................
you can please 90% of the people 10% of the time and 10% of the people 90% of the time, but you cant please 100% of the people 100% of the time.

2 women wearing clothes(not bathing suits, not lingere etc) is far from scandily clad. i think you guys did a great job, working with pictures you were given and did not have the opportunity to take yourselves. it can only get better from here

Your exactly right shavedmax can't keep everyone happy. So far we have gotten an incredible response. Last week was the first week they were available and we shipped over 400 in just 5 days.

Believe it or not, I have received more then 40 email requests for the calendar next year to feature more models and less then a handful that wanted only cars featured and not models. We will take all that into consideration next year. If you look at most of the other calendars that are in the import scene right now you will see that they are covered with half naked girls, ours is quite conservative compared to some others I have seen. Plus our models are classy and are not in a small outfit with their ***** hanging out. Rest assured that only two months, (June and July) feature a model. The rest of the months are just the cars so you don't need to worry about hanging them up the other 10 months.

You guys all should thank Maxima Girl again for her hard work on this calendar. She put in many long hard hours to get this Calendar put together and if it was not for her this calendar would never have happened.

Thanks Maxima Girl, we all appreciate the hard work you put into this.......you look great as Miss July too.

That is because we "car-only" folks are quieter about it. We look at the calendar and think "bummer - guess I won't buy it" and leave it at that. The "more-models-please" folks all buy it, and ask for more. It isn't that there are more of them out there - they are just louder. Besides, we "car-only-folk" all know that if we post something like "please no models next year" we face the fire from thems that want to see the women.

Just a thought on the money line about the project, comparing it to movies:
"In the decade 1988-1997, Hollywood made 17 times more "R" rated films than "G" rated, even though the average "G"-rated film brought in eight times more revenue". Why? Because people who watch R rated films will still go watch G movies, but people who only watch G movies will not go see R movies.

Bottom line - some people will like it better if it has women, but more people will buy it if it is cars-only. Why? Because if you like maximas and models, you will buy the calendar either way. If you only want to see the maximas, then you will only buy it if it's model-free.

Just a thought - not an argument! Again, I want reiterate that I think that the project was a GREAT idea, and that besides the pics with girls I think the calendar is awesome! I just won't buy one this year - that's all.

On that note, thanks Maxima Girl! Again, besides the few pictures I don't care for (just my opinion), it looks great!

Received my calendar today. It looks great. Thanks for all the hard work you guys put into it.

I do agree that it would be nice to have the names and towns that the owners are from. Since I don't know many of the guys outside the 3rd gen, I have no idea whose cars they are.

:attention please Hey I agree with some people with girls being in it. Like other people said it, I don't have anything against the girls being in it, it's just that I have little brothers at the house and I can't have it posted on the wall or on the door. Well If more % are for the girls to be in it it's not my decsion to make the decision for the calender.
Ohh yeah I wish there could've been more better cars there, some are good and some are like stock for some reason. I mean you can see a stock cars here everyday on the road, but modified is a rare thing to see. PhxBlue is not in it, and I agree his Max is one of the hottest ones that should've been in it. Just for the consideration for next year, maybe it'll change.
Well anyways the calender is a nice job, but could've been better.
