Post Here If You Have No Problems With Your Maxima

this has been a horrible period for maxima's. Between maxima's being broken in to problems here and there, i've heard too many problems going on for maxima's these past weeks. So much negativity and i think we need a positive thread to bring back the optomistic feel on our powerful reliable cars. I have no problems with my car right now and havent had a problem for the past few weeks and before that only had bad back brakes which have been replaced. I do have missing side markers which are ready to be installed but no engine problems, no nasty sounds, no CEL, nothing stolen and i'm happy to have my car and glad that its healthy.

If your car is running fine and u r glad that your not one of the 10's of people on here having problems, post here and bring back to positivity our maxima's deserve. Let future buyers know that there are a few batches of us that are doing ok. And pray for those that are fighting between keeping their cars and going for something different.

Hope this becomes useful to everyone, even those cursing out their cars...

I havent had any major problem with my car ever. Replaced the brake pads and bought performance parts. Thats more or less all I've done. I love my car.

Do you have any clue as to how long this could get? Most all problems were caused by the owners and mods gone wrong. (Steve you need to keep a fire extigusher around ) Ive had a few dumb problems, but they were my fault and I fixed it. Dumb things like exhaust leaks, ect..

Like I said, owner error. You should have seen/heard/smelled (yeah smelled) my car when I first slapped on the y-pipe. The gasket sliped out between the header and pipe and sounded like @ss, not to mention the header wrap smelled like ****.

Besides the little issue in the topic I just posted, everything is working out great. I can't help but smile every time I look at my car. *looks out the window and smiles*

No problems except a single bad ignition coil, which was a simple CEL diagnosis and a $70 part. Supposedly this happens a lot on 99s.

No problems with either of mine (2001 or 2002) except the paint chipping on the front. But, I don't consider that to be a problem since the dealership repainted it for free for me.

Mine's 18 months old and only had the recall done and a TSB for the hood. Those are annoyances, not "problems." The rear axle on my ford blowing out, that was a problem... so far my 2k2 maxima has been great

No problems here other than paint chips (and I'm fixing that one) and rotors warping. But the rotors probably don't count, because I tend to heat up brakes , and went through a few set-ups on my '95 to get rotors that didn't warp.

Oh, and my '95 ran like a watch for 130k miles. A single repair event fixed the bad idle control valve causing an SES light, and a bad CV joint. That's it other than brakes (and I don't necessarily blame the car for that...).

no problems ever except for the alternator but that was replaced under the recall, other than that, just normal wear and tear like brakes

Hey, what can I say? My dealership is awesome. That and I have bought a 2001 Altima, 2001 Maxima and a 2002 Maxima from them in the last 2 years probably doesn't hurt either.

I never mentioned having the dealership pay for it. They did that all on their own.

No problems here, except I haven't actually driven my max in about a year and a half. That whole "no back end due to taillight conversion gone bad" problem seems to be a curse to me...

no major problem beside alternator recall, battery dies, didn't start up for 3 times, and the common power steering leaking problem in the winter

lol for the record, i did not go through the twin turbo procedure for 2 reasons. He failed to send me pics of the "so called" install and his communication skills were bad. If i had seen pics and went for the turbo, and if i had a problem, it would be h*ll to get in touch with this guy with the warranty info and all.....errr.... that yayo kicking in....dayum, luckee2bere may know why this is here la la la la la la la la la

Yeah well you can say that, hell you have a cannon ball size dent in your ride! (hope its resolved soon ) But your right you never what can happen and when. One of the worst situations I had was like 2yrs ago with a rental AstroVan (long story ) while we were returning from a road trip, we saw one of those signs that said watch out for falling rocks and thought nothing if it. Well next time any1 sees those signs, seriously WATCH OUT! We had a boulder inbedded into the passenger side sliding door ( ) and couldnt get the damn thing ouy! It was a good 2.5-3ft long and 1ft thick. I dont know wtf happend to the van, my friend said he just returned it like that but obviously that cant be too true. I never got the full story on it but we coulndt get the damn thing out, crowbars, ect...
