why do you mod your max?

when your modding your car, what goes through your mind? do you want people to notice you from a mile away? or is it all about the 1/4 mile times? join in the quest for the truth..

Just to have my own personality. Not so much to show off or attract attention, but just kind of attention that people will know its you when they see your car.

Fun.

I don't care what other people think of me, and I'd rather not be noticed on the road. I enjoy working on my car and moding provides me with more of that enjoyment. I'm a tinkerer (sp?).

I like the look of front clears better than the amber. I like the sound of my Injen better than stock. Tints were actually for the kids in the back seat but I did the fronts, too, because I liked the look.

Basically, it's all about me . I couldn't care less what other people think.

So that I can enjoy driving my car the way it was supposed to be made in the first place. A stock Max is great, but one with more power, better braking, better handling, better shifting, etc. is a lot more enjoyable to drive. It's all about all-around balanced performance for me.

To achieve perfect balance... because it's a hobby (expensive one at that)... and to be different.

Nismo hit the nail on the head here. I love it when I can walk up to a car and can guess exactly what a person is like just by looking at the car. Seeing how much time (or how little time) someone has put in to their car. I think this goes for all car owners. Not just Maxima owners. Granted, alot of us look down a little on Hon-duh owners, but look at it this way. These kids love their cars just as much as we do. They spend their hearts and souls on modifying those cars so that they can be unique. Even if it's a Hon-duh, its to be admired. Just my $.02 worth

a.d.d. + gtp's.

no, honestly? because I enjoy it, i like the speed, and its something fun/interesting for me to do.

i also love the look on the z06 owners face, the supra owners face, the nos'd nsx owners face (tonight.)..

track is fun, verry fun to race(adrenaline), but i love even more laying suuper low so I could crawl out onto the streets at night and no one knows my car..

show cars, i dont see the point. a clean bodykit such as stillen is nice with a good drop and a nice set of wheels, a beauty...someday when i feel like spending the $ on stillen's kit i'll be happy with looks. but anything else, imo ew. but to each his own

I mod, read, listen, and search as a learning lesson to see what works effectively and what doesn't for when I build that true street/strip/X-track car and to be honest it will not be a Max. I'll need to see the smoke from the rear instead of the front.

For performance? Of course. The turbo/sc cars would be that much faster in the 1/4 if they could put down more of the power they make.
