Lemme guess... you used a metal screwdriver to get the original map out, didn't you?
Hahah actually what caused it to short was me messing with the prong on right side map light. It wasnt keeping the connector firm, which had juuuust enough play to wiggle and loose connection. I used my finger to push the prong so it rested closer to where the connector goes and *click* everything went dark.

Not going to lie, i was prodding around with a tiny screwdriver but that isnt what caused it lol.

Yeah, the map light socket prongs are basically always on, so shorting those two prongs together will do it

You too can have beautiful brilliant white or blue light adorn your vehicle...PM or post here! I have many kits still available!

You can have it be any color you want but legally it has to be white. I don't sell reverse LEDs sorry

I don't know if it has been suggested, Amerikaner83, but you should look into offering an LED kit to replace the LEDs in the OEM rear spoiler. I think that would be a big hit

That spoiler light isn't all that easy to remove, many people wouldn't even have the tools to do it..

PITA is right.

I do understand the frustration......I tried to do mine as well. Getting it off the car was easy enough without removing the entire spoiler. I had a right angle philips head screw driver to remove the LED light only. 5 to 8 of my LEDs were bad, out of the total 48 if I remember correctly. 4 screws and it came right off. I proceeded to do a very botched up soldering job and ruined the whole unit.

Paid $144 for new OEM.

Still, I think it's a big opportunity for Americaner83. With these newer and greater assortment of LEDs, you can make a brighter LED taillight, multi-color (but mostly red hopefully) etc.

Spoiler would be nice to do, and I have thought about it...but like mentioned it's a royal PITA to do. And since I'm not an electronics / manufacturing company (only work for one LOL) I won't have what I need to in order to make replacements cost effective.

Re: map lights...only one? PM me, 15 bucks shipped ConUS.

I have to say im super impressed. I ordered a cool white kit after talking with Amerikaner about what he could do and what i needed. Sent payment on 3-14 and they travelled from WA to FL and showed up in my mailbox today, 3-16. Got some fancy-pants LED's and even threw in some extra pieces for the install just in case.

I will do my part and throw up some pics of before and after install. I cant recommend this seller enough, buy some freakin LEDs dudes (and dudettes), this man is doing the lords work.

You got them already? Wow. I wasn't expecting them to get there until tomorrow, though I told you Wednesday just to be safe. Hows the shade of white? Not too blue, I hope?

Glad you like 'em

I do not have a red kit picture. I haven't done much with red.

If I'm reading correctly the kit is all white and if I wanted blue it would be the doors only?
