So what did your garage get for Christmas?

I got a few things...not the l33t stuff that we all love, but since they were presents from wife and in-laws I couldn't exactly ask for the super-baller stuff, lol..

They should, however, work just fine for my purposes...

A pile of craftsman sockets I had Kelly buy 1/2 price on Black Friday..
1/2" deep impact socket set
3/8" deep chrome set (to make up the 3 sockets I lost during 24 hrs of Lemons)

new cordless drill since the batteries are going bad on my old one.
magnetic parts tray
new socket holders.
wrench caddies to organize my wrench drawer.

I keep saying I'm going to clean it out, but I've got too much crap I need to get rid of. I'd need a couple days and a place to store all the stuff while I pull it all out and organize. ugh. I need a bigger garage.

Yeah.. I ran in the Houston event back in Oct. Our car was fast as hell, but our team captain turned into a dumb**** douchebag when it came time to building a reliable car and anytime he was behind the wheel... We finished horribly because everything kept breaking and he spent too much time in the penalty box because he'd run some slower car off the track and yell at the officials whining the other cars were at fault because they were too slow. Then he'd tear *** out of the penalty box and get penalized AGAIN for speeding in the pits-- which further compounded his attitude with the officials and caused even more penalties and longer stints in the penalty box.

The whole story-- at least my side of it: http://forums.maxima.org/off-topic/5...privation.html

Jalopnik's coverage....
(We were car #35. Finished in 47th place...)
http://jalopnik.com/5069622/the-yeeh...allery-part-ii

............. I don't go to GRM forums. too many forums to keep up with as-is.

Oh... And I took a sawzall to the ceiling and used the attic space to store our plywood window covers (for next year's hurricane season)..

I had tons of room left over and still had the plywood scraps from trimming the windows, so I decked the rest of the useable area up there and stored a bunch of car parts..

If you haven't done this yet I highly recommend painting your concrete or cement floor and dropping down some flakes. Oil and other stains wash right off now and don't stain the floor.

I also added some ceiling mounted storage racks for my rims and the wifes x-mas gear. Later on I hope to get some ceiling mounted heaters like I've seen in nice garages I've visited up north.

Mac 1/2" drive 17,19,21,22mm deep socket impact
Snap on 4 pc prybar set
Strut Tamer for my suspension...incredible for coilovers!!
25 Gallon Pro-Air, Air compressor. 150PSI max, have it running at 120psi! Way better then my hotdog style 10 gallon
Ingersoll Rand 2135QT-I 2 Max 1/2" impact. Incredible impact gun!
2 Cordless rechargable LED work lights
Mac 24" Ratcheting Breaker bar
Folding creeper...pwns my old one..i dont think it even had wheels, like plastic cups LOL..

Oh and best of all, i cleaned out the garage, did two truck loads to the dump, built a shelving unit, and made a lot more room too work.

Also got a 220V industrial heater, but i dont have 220V in the garage, so it stays in the new workshop extension!
