Just to give you guys an idea, this is my MTX 304 amp's birth sheet. As you can see, the actual output is way above the advertised spec. On top of that, it's only at 12.5 volts. All cars today are running on 14 volts so you can bet that the power output this amp push out is nearly 100rms per channel. This is a lot higher than the "rated" 37.5 rms/channel.

I had an MTX 6500d several years ago. The birth sheet said something like 780W RMS at 2 ohms, instead of the 500W RMS that it was supposed to make. Overbuilt amps FTW!

Too bad so many of them failed. I replaced tons of mtx amps over the years. Good value but only so-so reliability.

Those are badda55 Matt. I currently have two old school art series PPI amps with the cool little "bridge" to make my two amps look like one.

If and when you sell them, please let me know. Thanks.

Bah. He aint' hurtin nuthin here. If you have a problem with another member making useless posts, please bring it to a mods' attention via PM or by reporting the post and let us handle is vs. posting negative comments. All that does is cause more hate. We have enough of that around here already.

This is old school

Can't take a picture of mine cos the 500m is under the Driver's seat. It's paired with a modern Alpine PDX 4.150.

The RF I got for 50 bucks from a friend
The PDX was 99 off craigslist and broken with a missing faceplate supposedly "he took it out of his mom's SUV because she didn't like it."

Alpine fixed it for 100 and even gave me a new faceplate

I sold Rockford back before those were even in play.. Those were the new "junk mass-produced" ones that just came out when I left that place.

I sold a ton of these....

and I also had an old Orion HCCA 225 and a 250 in my first system that got stolen.

I think I've finally convinced myself to pull it all out of the Maxima and sell it. That car is doing nothing but dying sitting in my barn for the last 3 years..
