Can you make a 7th gen AWD

CAN you? Sure, with enough money you can. Just like that rapper or actor or whoever bought a Lambo for his wife/girlfiend/baby momma and convered it to an automatic a couple years ago...
Ford Fusion Sport is AWD, with the twin-scroll 2.7L EcoBoost putting 325HP and 350TQ stock (with just a tune can get 375HP/400+TQ). Looks better than the Kia too.

But I see your point.
Here is a nice spider graph comparision from Car and Driver:
Stock FS vs Stock GT, the Kia wins. Stock GT vs tuned FS, it's a different story - much closer. But it does seem as if the GT is a faster vehicle...good for kia! Interesting to see where they go from there since Ford is killing the Fusion.

That was Kobe Bryant in 2001 for his wife’s Lamborghini Murciélago. Lamborghini didn’t come out with its “egear transmission” (kinda automatic) until 2004. So Kobe had a special transmission adaptor made for her car because she didn’t know how to drive manual. Estimated that it cost him about $110,000 to have that done.
Although our 7gen maximas with 6speed are beast,I just think that the 10k it would cost to change them to stick is absurd. Might as well use that money on a car that is better out the gate.
Just my 2cents tho

You can mate an AWD tranny to the Maxima. that VQ35DE is in just about every Nissan. The Murano has a 3.5L and comes in AWD. But yes it will cost quite a bit to get it working with the computer and modifying the rear drive shaft to fit.
