Just talked to cattman yesterday and he has a list for headers going. So give him a call to get on the list.

You can still get on the list. Don't have to pay up front.

Don't pay anything until the minimal orders are met. THEN you pay deposit to start production and pay remainder when done- before shipping.

Is there a thread with a sign up list? Also would anyone know if these are for the 3.0 or 3.5? Im looking to get a set of headers and Y for my 4th gen and im aware theres some slight differences between the two.

If hes going to have some 3.0 headers im in it to win it!

$350 for a Y-pipe ..., nice! If I go in, I already have the B-pipe. Will I need a new CAT to make the conversion flow better? His site says the RT cat is NOT available ...? One of my Pre-CATS purrs at about 1800 rpm (annoying) ... Hope to install does not drive me Mad with any rusted bolts ...!

Cattman Site: " 1995-2001 Y-pipes eliminate factory-installed “pre-cats” and are not intended for use on public roads or highways. Primary catalytic converter remains in place and functioning normally."

If your willing to pay 350 for y-pipe then you should save up a little more money and get the entire headers and y-pipe combo. Trust me. Ive have a y-pipe, shorty headers with a y-pipe. Then two sets of cattman header and y-pipe combos. It is a hands down no comparison difference.

How much more are these headers? I am more trying to eliminate a rattle/resonance at 1800 rpm ..., but according to another thread, I am barking up the wrong tree ... I might only keep the car another 2 years, so ... (trying to justifyY-pipe cost, heh heh) ...

Y pipes:
95-98 are all fed spec.
Some 99-01 are fed spec.
Some 99-01 are Cali spec.
02-03 is different again.

Fed spec has both pre cats in the y pipe. Replacing y pipe eliminates both pre cats.

Cali spec y pipe has 1 pre cat. Only one (of the two) is deleted with a y pipe replacement.

02-03 y pipe has no pre cats in it.

Headers replace the y pipe in all cases, and thus, replace all the pre cats no matter what.

95-03 headers are all the same (except 02 bung and EGR Ports.

Not to try & undercut Brian's business. I posted this here to avoid the hassle from bargain hunters that don't realize the value of Cattman's.

Since I no longer own my 2001 Maxima. I have a set of (gen 2 w/EGR) headers/y-pipe/fastcat/gaskets & etc. (i.e. R-O2 sensor extension cables).
BNIB sitting in my garage, coated w/ VHT flame proof 2Kdeg.F aluminum/ceramic header paint.

Serious inquiries ONLY please, via. PM.
