The factor y-pipe is in the trash!
On my 03 maxima the y-pipe started leaking. My dad owns a car shop that specializes in custom exhaust. So here's what I did. Started from the flanges after the cats. Replaced gasket and went all new from there with 2 1/4 pipe. Actually ran dual exhaust to a magnaflow Dual in single out resonator. Instead of one big flex pipe, I used 2 smaller ones. Looks great and sounds even better. I now have dual 2 1/4 pipe from cats back to a dual inlet single outlet resonator. 2 1/2 exhaust to a flow master 40 series with delta flow. Then with a 4 inch round tip. I can not believe how well it sounds. My cats are also hollowed out. I have received so many compliments on how deep and how well it sounds. What are some of you all doing for exhaust?

I will get some pics taken when I get it up on the lift. Won't be long because I have to replace the squeaky idler pulley. I'll get some pics and a vid so you all can hear it in the next few days depending on when the idler pulley comes in.
