03 Max Stock Bose System - Suddenly No sound

Had the weirdest thing happen today while driving my 2003 maxima se. I had heard some light popping in the speakers when listening to the radio and then after a few minutes, i made a left turn and heard a loud pop (it actually sounded more like a bang) and now my head unit doesn't play any sound neither from tuner or CD. Though i do still hear the "beep" sound when i adjust the bass/treble, etc. I disconnected the amp and did not hear the beeps anymore when adjusting bass/treble, so I'm thinking the amp is not the problem. Head unit has power and all the functions seem to work properly including the steering wheel controls. One thing i did notice though, RDS doesn't seem to be working any longer.

Anyone have this happen to them?

The Bose head unit does not have a good track record. Usually only one or two channels stop working. I can't remember anyone saying that their head unit failed like yours did, but I would not ever say it could not.

You could try reading our audio forum and see if there is any reference to your problem.
