Idle not as smooth when car warms up BUT drives good
hey guys. first i just wanted to say i searched but i dont see a thread that can answer my question in detail.
background on my car. its modded pretty heavily intake, headers, exhaust and a bunch of other stuff. but those are the main components i think that can make my idle suffer.
when my car is cold it idles very nicely and steadily. when it warms up the idle drops here and there and can be a little rough but nothing to much that i have to worry but i would enjoy a nice idle like my tsx has.
sometimes i have the p0300 code the multiple random misfire but its only on maybe 10 percent of driving time and thats being generous in saying how often its on. recently my p0462 code came on the fuel sensor level thing but it went off ( my intake fell off and i put it back on i strongly believe thats the culprit) i have a small amount of oil in my spark plugs.
here is my plan change my front and rear valve cover with the 04 ones and get new gaskets. new ngk laser iridiums.
also my car is a 03 and has 80k miles so i wouldnt mind changing parts that can be a little old and weaker with some new parts if prices (oem ofcourse) is justifiable for a even more thorough maintenance. (coils i probably wouldnt change unless its the reason for my random misfire but i doubt it because i changed a few with some extra oem coils i had that came from a lower mileage car)
If you guys have any advice i would love to hear it. my idle is nothing i am worried about but i would like to fix it.
