Wow this looks pretty sweet. I'd definately be interested if the price is right. Are these stainless steel? Keep us updated.

BTW, does anyone have the Tein Coilover setup?

i question i have is how do full coilover setup ride. right now i have Eibach and stock struts. i would like to ge the KBY adj. but how would the ride compair to what i have now. if the coilovers would be as good a ride as the spring strut combination i would save up and get them.

I am in the same boat as you maxGTRvq35de. I really need shocks but if i can spend an extra $150 and have coilovers and have an easier install to where i dont pay anyone to install them then i want to know stiffness. My eibach are killing me

Any true coil-over setup will ride much better than any aftermarket springs/strut setup.

Handlingwise but when it comes to going over potholes and bumps, you'll feel the hit much harder.

I disagree. My friend has coil-over on his Accord and his ride is softer and he is already lowered more than 2.5". But then again, the dampener on coil-over can be adjustable and if you have illumina, you can set from 1 to 5. You cant be wrong with coil-over.

Last time I checked, WA had good roads. When I visited WA a while back, I don't remember driving over potholes and bumps all the time.

How is he using Illuminas and have a true coil over? Only way I know he can run Illuminas is running GC type of coil over which is not a true coil over system.

Even with the softest setting on Illuminas, it's still not soft as Blues. Plus, when it gets chilly out, they tend to get harder.

Which part in WA did you go to? If you go to new residential areas, the road is perfectly smooth because they're new. Try downtown Seattle.

He did not have Illumina. He has coil-over. Please re-read my post.

I think we're getting OT here, so if you have more questions, I'll be glad to talk over PM. Thanks.

I doubt downtown seattle has worse roads than downtown Chi, Det, or NYC

Ammi: Actually, most roads in and around Downtown Seattle are pretty sh!tty. But don't worry about arguing with sandy...he doesn't really know what he's talking about anyways

KPazzo: So that just comes with 1 spring set of your choice right?

Heres some questions that were asked on another board & answered by D2 Racing Company.....

QUESTION 1.
What is the type of shock/strut used? Monotube, twin-tube, high pressure, low pressure?

"D2 coilovers come with monotube high pressure design"

QUESTION 2.
What is the size (diameter) of the shock/strut piston? What is the size (diameter) of the shock/strut shaft?

"The diameter of the shock piston is 44mm and the body of shock is 50mm, the shaft of the shock is 20mm"

QUESTION 3.
What is the Internal diameter of the springs?

"The diameter of the springs are 62mm"

QUESTION 4.
Coilovers are 36-way adjustable. Is the adjustment compression only or compression and rebound combined?

"36way adjustable is for adjust both compression and rebound combined."

QUESTION 5.
Is there any guarantee at all?

"All D2 products come with one year guarantee."

QUESTION 6.
Are the shocks/strut rebuildable?

"All D2 coilovers are rebuildable, but it will be better to change the damper by authorized shop, its related to technical skill."

QUESTION 7.
Is there a specification available for the free length of the springs?

"the range of the length adjustable is 120mm"

QUESTION 8.
What range of adjustablity do the 36 positions cover?

"For the spring rate all the brands will not use the same spring rate, because it depend on the damper of the shock, we will suggest the current use of our customer from different country. the exactly spring rate that customer want have to be choose after road test."

I wonder if we could buy a large amount from D2racing. I know we are not a buisness but maybe southwest autoworks could order them and give us a group deal.

Because I hate low ballers. Once there is a set price then I would know if I can beat it or not Did you get any positive response from anyone? How many people are we looking at? 10 or 20?
