Finally getting the auto tranny TSB done on my car....(long)

Today I went to the dealership for the 3rd time for my tranny slipping from 2nd to 3rd. This time I had a copy of the TSB with me and took the master tech for a ride. He felt the "abnormal shifting" as he called it and they are gonna replace the solenoids and TCM under warranty. Also, when I go in to set up an appointment with the service guys, I ask them if when I bring it in for the service, if they can flush my tranny fluid and replace it with a synthetic fluid and also if it would be a problem if they installed a tranny cooler for me. They shook their heads and told me that that would void my warranty if I wanted future service. I didnt think that would void my warranty but I could be wrong.??? Another thing that happened which I found strange was they like interrogated me on how I got ahold of a copy of the TSB. I told them I printed it off the internet on the NHTSA website and they kinda laughed at me and they were like "yeah the internet...". Im just happy they are finally gonna replace the parts and Im hoping it will help the tranny's shifts.
Anyways, you guys think I should switch to synthetic and do the tranny cooler and possibly the vb mod after I have the warranty service done?
