Couple Clutch Questions

i just recently needed to replace my clutch.
i ordered the oem 4th gen pressure plate
the 5th gen clutch disc
and going to resurface my flywheel

i also ordered the ss one piece clutch line from the master to the slave.

I just did all of the above. I have not seen a write up on the ss line but if you search for clutch line you will see a pic. You will have to remove 2 lines when you do the clutch line replacement. There is a write up in the how to section on how to pull the tranny. When you replace the clutch make sure you torque the pressure plate bolts to spec.

I think you have that backwards. Don't you want a 4th gen (or 5th gen) clutch disc with a 5th gen (20th Anniversary?) pressure plate?

If you were trying to get a clutch that handles more power, then yes, I believe it's true. IIRC, the 5th gen 20AE pressure plate is sprung more heavily, which gives the clutch more power holding capability. The discs are the same and so are the non-AE pressure plates between all 4th and 5th gen Maximas.
