Windshield washer fluid motor

Hi guys and gals. I am looking at purchasing a 95 GXE next week, and the seller has disclosed to me that the "motor for the wiper fluid is not working".

Is there a common issue with windshield wiper pumps going out in these things? I checked on Rockauto and the part is only like 20 bucks...

I plan on getting the vehicle fully inspected of course before I purchase it, but the autocheck I ran checks out, and the pics are all legit and looks good.

Basically I'm just wondering if the pump going out could be indiciative of something else, like a grounding issue or something.

The pump is probably rusted and doesn't work.

The pump is a pretty simple fix. Don't let that stop you from buying the car, if it checks out okay.

Sounds like a simple fix but I would make sure to check for other stuff like rusting on radiator support and rear engine mount.

Haha thx y'all. The car checks out fine so far in all the pics...its a 95 so not like the outside is gonna be mint, but decent. I plan on getting it inspected tomorrow and then it'll be mine if all goes well.

My wife's outback had a washer pump fail so I know its a simple thing to fix... hell...part for 20 bucks new is pretty nice deal...

Funny, last week my pump fails to work on my 98 max. I hear it turning but little fluid comes out (doesn't even make it to the windshield). I was looking for a write-up in the stickies, nothing yet.
