Shortened Koni Yellow & KYB bumpstop questions
I will be replacing the factory suspension on the I30 with Koni Yellows all around and pairing them with CMS springs (F/R: 1.8"). The fronts will be shortened and I am using P11 G20 MEP style mounts (Motivational style) in the rear to regain some travel lost.
Because I am using KYB bumpstops - specifically the OEM equivalents (SB104 for the fronts (instead of SB103)/SB108 for the rear) will I need to trim the bumpstops given my setup? All the other threads that mention bumpstop trimming don't account for using SB104 in the front with shortened Konis and extended travel mounts in the rear and I don't know how the KYB bumpstops compare to the OEM ones in length. I purchased all the other bits so I will not need to re-use any of the parts on the stock setup so it'll be a quick install as I am not interested in taking everything apart a 2nd time.

Actually they are two piece the bumpstop can separate from the boot.
Front bumpstop measures 2.5" while the rear measures 2". Depending on how much the rear is trimmed there will be slack once the shaft runs through it.

I had a feeling they would up date their design. The one piece all rubber design is not worth cutting. The foam lends better to trimming. Since its soft, cutting is not completely necessary.
Let me measure a stock foam stop and see if its worth cutting.
