I think all you need to do to install these is trim one of your motor mounts.

I know there is heated difference of opinion on whether headers in general are worth the cost or even help at all, but I'm certain that I read somewhere other than this forum that the OBX in particular were complete junk as far as build quality, rustproofing, and overall craftsmanship. If I'm not mistaken, don't they require that you make a significant modification to them for them to even fit properly?

Buy the Altima 3.5 Headers from OBX, might have to do a little work on the end of the y-pipe so it will fit to your exhaust, but the the 2 banks come together better than the 4th gen OBX headers.

The only good Maxima headers are made by Cattman and HotShot. All of the other headers are proven to be garbage.

You can buy the Stone Mountain Racing headers for about $200. Why don't you just get those if all you care about is some header bling.

i want the perfromance....but for 850 that Sport Compact Only wants for cattmans i dont htink its worth it....when i can get virtually the same product make minor mods to fit them if needed for 500 dollars less....my real qurstion is do they really give the gains stated....and dont give the the get what u pay for crap because 75% of the people on the 4th gen section swear by their cheap budget y-pipe over stillen or cattman...

headers will take away our low end power and the y pipe alone will free up more power by itself overall, so why not just spend around 200 on a y pipe?

It's alot harder to screw up on a y-pipe design than with headers. You can't even use that as a comparison.

If you went that route, that would be an extra $150 wasted.

Final Verdict: OBX headers/y-pipe are poorly designed and utterly blasphemous in performance gains.

Stone Mountain Racing is the way to go if you want to save money.
Cattman/Hotshot is the way to go if you've got a few extra grand in your bank account.

lol nice box they chose to photograph here for this ebay listing

great job!

BTW I like my headers to have the exhaust streams at 90 degree angles where they come together, really does great things for performance.

ok think about it, what do our stock manifolds look like, then look at stone racings.... same size and shape. they do not make any power. sure its been dyno'ed and shown a 1-2 hp increase but no dyno runs are exactly the same.

the collectors are horrible, the fittment sucks, and the gains are nill. if you really want to waste time and money on them be my guest. clearly no resurch has been done here, and they just want to make a buck.

the main difference between the hotshots and cattman is the egr. but they both fit the vq30 and vq35.
