wtf, odometer not working - 97SE

Hmm.. very strange.. It just occurred to me this evening that my odometer and trip odometer haven't been working for weeks. Everything else seems to be working fine. I searched around and found some people suggesting removing and re-installing the guage cluster just in-case there were any loose connections.. but those suggestions seemed to be predicated upon there being some problem with the speed sensor and the speedometer as well as the odometer.. I found this link:
http://www.geocities.com/amixam69/ni...ash/step1.html

Any other suggestions?

try that. take the cluster out and tighten all of the screws back there, i had a problem like that and it fixed it all. if that doesnt work, you may have a bad odometer
