I have this obx sts on my 4th gen! You shouldnt get this! Get a B&M! I got this like summer of 2k1 when the B&M wasnt out yet. Shifts are ok, but when you try to power shift from 2 gear to 3rd its hard and grinds sometimes. It's ok if you shift @ 3000 rpm though. Still get a B&M!

When I changed my shift ****, it was a B**** to get off the stock one. I actually had to use channel locks to get it off. If you use this method, be sure that you do not want the stock shifter anymore, because it will not look to sweet when your done with it.

This is because Nissan is notorious for Gluing on shift ***** with some insanely strong glue. Took me 2 hours to get the shift **** off of my old 240sx. Just wrap a towel around it and get some vice grips, it will eventually come off.

Just twist it off with your hands......i dont see how so many people had problems getting it off......Took me 5 min of some very hard twisting but it came off, glue and all....

I've only heard bad things about those short shifters.

<---getting a B&M...the Group Deal is not going anymore. Try pm'ing 'Tokio' and see if he can help. Good guy.
