unpossible seriously what air does it blow on the window, it would need to be dried, post-evaporator air to do anything useful... Do tell!

It blows cabin air onto the rear screen. I worked on the ski fields last winter and it definitely assisted in clearing the screen in the mornings.

I found out the other day that you can't have both the heated mirrors and rear fan going at the same time. Whether that's a wiring issue or some crazy design feature I'm not sure.

doing one of my usual checks of ebay for any NOS 3rd gen stuff I found these today, and the price wasnt bad so i pulled the trigger. I was thinking they were the GXE fogs, but after looking at a couple other threads showing those, these seem to be a little different. these have visible screws on the face. However you can see the paper in the picture says "1989 Maxima" Im not sure exactly what Ive got here but I should know more when they arrive...Anyone?

they had dealer optioned fogs for the GXE. it's close to the SE factory fogs but they were not as tall.

Looks universal. Especially considering it comes with a generic relay and quick splice.

well the fogs arrived. they are BOSCH brand, like the GXE foglights, however they are almost exactly the same size as the SE fogs, these are slightly wider and have plastic endcaps (visible screws) holding the glass to the housing. *sigh* oh well sure im theyll be in the classifieds at some point

im not sure all pro, they didnt come with any brackets. there is a bolt on the backside for hooking up to a bracket, so you could probably make something. in the picture i posted of them there was a piece of paper that said 'maxima' on it but that didnt show up in the package. it might have had bracket info on it but now we'll never know...

doesnt matter, 3rd gens werent popular at all in Japan. they exceeded Japans vehicle width limit at one time as well. AUS or NZ is better for parts

Selling a working master window switch removed from a AUS/NZ spec 3rd gen. I bought it a couple years ago from a nice fellow in New Zealand with the intention of wiring it to my US spec 3rd gen, on the passenger side. Though it would've been really cool. Sold the car though a year ago.

Switch is in excellent shape (some of the white lettering has rubbed off but those switches can easily be replaced). Also including several inches of the vehicle side harness (aka pigtails). If anyone is interested, I'm willing to let this go cheap. It's just taking up space in my house... PM me.

How did you go about getting a power fold feature for your mirrors if you don't mind me asking?

Honestly, none of the above. I've had two of the three for several years now collecting dust. But I stuck with the one that looks the best..

It will not be a direct plug-n-play, you will need body work to get it to all fit properly and not look like a backyard hack job. You'd be better off retrofitting E36 headlights with much less modification than the A31 would need.

Hey bud,

where do I get a grille like yours? I like to buy one for my 1990 SE. I like the dark color one. Do you have the part number so I can order it from over seas?
any help will be appreciated.

Jorge

Back then 10 or 20 years ago, owning a out of the ordinary grille or any piece of equipment that was not offered on our shores, was cool. Now, almost 30 years later, owning an overseas OEM part for 3rd gen máximas is even cooler, specially those NZ and Australian front grilles. Lucky those of you that kept some of those overseas OEM because is getting harder to find them. I being trying for the past 2 years to purchase a grille from Australia but no one is willing to ship one for me.
